XE166xM Series - Base Line

The XE162M (LQFP-64), XE164M (LQFP-100) and XE167M (LQFP-144) microcontroller series is based on Infineon's popular and well-established C166 architecture. The devices offer new safety features for safety integrity level (SIL) 2 and 3 applications such as an MPU (Memory Protection Unit), MCHK (Memory Checker) and ECC (Error Correction) for flash memory and SRAM.

  • Up to 576KB of flash memory and 50KB of RAM
  • Parallel Flash Programming
  • Up to four PWM units (CCU6) to drive any industrial 3-phase motor
  • Two very fast A/D converters
  • Up to eight serial interfaces (USIC)
  • DAP - Device Access Port (two-wire JTAG, replaces five-wire JTAG)

On the host side, it has an USB interface, which is available on every computer. On the device side, the communication goes over Infineon 10-pin DAP or 16-pin OCDSL1 interfaces. The miniWiggler has been designed specifically to work in combination with Infineon’s Debug Access Software (DAS).
