Overview
For applications like sensor fusion and integration platforms (e.g. vehicle motion controllers) TC4Dx offers high performance with extended connectivity and AI capability. For such use-cases TC4Dx includes smart accelerators like the PPU with private scalar core and 256bit wide vector unit. The new security module CSRM (Cybersecurity Realtime Module) with 10x performance vs. TC3x HSM. TC4D also offers native support for virtualization via hypervisor which enables software with freedom from Interference.
For connectivity applications like Zone controllers and Gateways TC4Dx offers features for improved data routing and integration of functions from end-point ECUs. The optimized architecture with accelerators enables high throughput without main cores intervention through the Data Routing Engine (DRE) and Ethernet bridges for efficient data routing. TC4Dx also features a de-centralized security concept with Crypto Satellites (CSS) for offloading main security module.
Additional Features
- Large local memories for fast access to more data
- HW routing engines & bridges
- CSRM: high-performance securi-ty module with private CPU, memories & crypto accelerators
- CSS: Distributed crypto and hash engines for secure CAN/Ethernet communication
- Software backwards compatible with the AURIXTM TC3x MCUs
- Strong SW partner ecosystem
Safety & Security
• Safety architecture is compliant to ISO 26262 (ASIL-D support)
• Cyber Security architecture is compliant to ISO/SAE 21434 and supports post quantum cryptog-raphy
AURIX™ TC4x Audio features set overview
The AURIX™ TC4x family includes products like the TC4Z, TC48, and TC44, each offering different audio communication packages with I2S/TDM and mixer configurations. These systems support 8-to-1 PCM stream mixing with sample rates from 8 to 192 Kbps, and feature their own PLL for audio clock generation and TSN media clock synchronization. The subsystem fabric provides local DMA routing and access protection.
Designed for various applications, the TC4x family enhances automated driving with acoustic environment sensing and road condition analysis, integrates AVAS and active noise canceling in electric vehicles, and reduces speaker cable complexity in infotainment and telematics systems. Additional features include in-cabin communication, audio zones, telematics microphone arrays, and eCall connections, making AURIX™ TC4x a comprehensive automotive audio solution.
AURIX™ Preferred Design Houses (PDH)
Infineon offers optimized, open-market customer support for systems using AURIX™ MCUs through a network of technical experts. The participating partners are trained in the use of AURIX™ microcontrollers and provide product- and application-specific support. The Preferred Design Houses (PDH) extend the support force by specifying and customizing their expertise and thus increase the value of customer service.
The first level of support is provided by local field application engineers, and the second level, which addresses more complex topics, is provided by dedicated automotive security experts. Dedicated on-site consulting can also be organized to help customers reduce development time and costs.
