Radiation hardened & high reliability memories

Radiation hardened & high reliability memories that perform in the harshest environments
Aerospace and defense platforms require reliable, secure and robust memory solutions capable of meeting strict performance and environmental metrices. These compute-intensive applications put increasing demands on memory performance and density to handle the large amounts of data sourced from multiple sensors and processor nodes.
Quality, Reliability, Longevity Delivered
Infineon Aerospace and Defense products adhere to the most stringent standards in the industry. Dedicated process flows allow these products to meet or exceed QML-Q and QML-V certifications. Proprietary manufacturing processes ensure zero-defect products with long lifecycles based on mature and reliable process technologies. Infineons’ Lifecycle Management Programs ensure the industry’s most trustworthy, long-term products support.
Satellites operating in space must endure extreme operating environments. Infineon’s radiation-hardened memories are
QML-V certified, meeting the reliability and lifecycle demands of space applications. These SRAM, NOR Flash and F-RAM
solutions enhance overall system computing limits, while providing Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) benefits and greater
design flexibility.
Infineons’ defense memory portfolio offers a wide selection of NOR Flash, F-RAM, nvSRAM and SRAM memories that
provide design options and flexibility while reducing system cost in applications such as radar, electronic warfare, avionics
and weapon systems. For instance, our QML-Q certified nvSRAM products offer the high performance of traditional SRAMs
while providing the added benefits of non-volatility.
Infineon supplies a wide range of memory products designed for demanding automotive, industrial and medical applications
and leverage this broad portfolio for use in mil/aero applications where systems may not require traditional mil/aero
certifications but do require robust performance in harsh environments.
Infineon custom solutions simplifies your design process by solving the challenges you face. Our worldwide partner network and technology expertise enables you to develop innovative products.

Infineon works with chipset partners to qualify Infineon memories with partner SoCs. Chipset partners get early access to Infineon products and dedicated support to qualify our memories on their boards. These efforts result in pairing charts that map our Infineon memory products with chipset partner product portfolios. The table below contains links to the pairing charts. Select a memory from these pairing charts to shorten your design cycle.
Chipset pairing charts:
- Map Infineon memory products with our chipset partner portfolios
- Indicate for each SoC, the supported memory interfaces
- Highlight both recommended memories and qualified memories
- Indicate (when applicable) which software version has been qualified
Infineon IC qualification with an SoC is performed by our SoC partner via a reference design, evaluation board, bring-up board, demonstration board, validation board, or turnkey reference design.
Guidelines for how to use chipset pairing charts:
- Use them to select the best Infineon solution(s) for your chipset of choice
- Use them to fine-tune the selection of Infineon solutions (compliant memory interface, voltage, memory density, etc.)
