Infineon collaborates with Seeed & Honmax

to build a radar module based on XENSIV™ 24 GHz radar chip

Our partner Seeed Studio is an IoT hardware enabler. Seeed has been serving the global developer community since 2008, by providing open technology and agile manufacturing services, with the mission to make hardware more accessible and lower the threshold for hardware innovation. With Shenzhen’s vast resources, and trusted technology and distribution partners around the world, Seeed strives to be the most integrated platform for creating hardware solutions for IoT, edge AI applications.

Seeed and our partner Honmax have joined forces to create a 24GHz radar module based on Infineon’s BGT24LTR11. Beyond serving as an evaluation kit and maker tool for users to familiarize themselves with radar, Seeed will also sell limited quantities of the board in the IoT market.

The radar module, called Grove Doppler Radar, complies with Seeed’s Grove open connector standards, thereby providing users an easy and effective way to develop tools and platforms to turn ideas to prototypes for emerging radar applications. It is also making use of our makeradar website by utilizing its "Plug & Play" functionality.

The new radar module can be purchased online since March 2020. Click here to read on about the module and watch Seeed’s weekly show, featuring this exciting new product.
