The culture! I felt part of the company and its goals from very early on. The great team spirit and close collaboration across functions, locations, and hierarchies is quite unique.

The Corporate Strategy team is responsible for the Corporate Strategic Business Planning, Macroeconomics & Market, and Competitive Intelligence at Infineon. By driving a state-of-the-art strategy process, we combine planning perspective with comprehensive guidance and expertise on macro and market developments, and systematic synthesis of knowledge about our competitors.

After the International Graduate Program, I joined the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team, which is responsible for managing Infineon’s global M&A transactions. I enjoy the cross-functional collaboration within Infineon.
Julia's Story
Feeling part of the Infineon family
Julia joined Infineon Munich in 2020 as an intern in the Project Management Office of the Cypress Post Merger Integration. In 2021, she participated in the International Graduate Program (IGP) before becoming part of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team in 2022. Using analytical thinking and communication, she supports global M&A transactions.

My last project was the set-up of a Joint Venture with four companies. As a Project Manager (PJM), I was responsible to coordinate the internal workstreams and to ensure consistent communication with our partners. Also, the PJMs are preparing updates and approval documents for our management board and supervisory board.
The visible result of the M&A team is a successful transaction, e.g. an acquisition, which enables inorganic growth of Infineon. Of course, there is a lot of analysis work in the background. For example, conscious decisions against certain transactions are a successful project result too.
I appreciate working with great colleagues and diverse experts. Since everyone is very open to sharing their knowledge, I learn something new about the company and its products almost every day.
Setting priorities is one of the more challenging tasks. Especially when many external parties are involved in an M&A project, it’s not always easy to determine what is really time critical.
It was very special for me to get the trust of my managers and colleagues to take over responsibility right from the beginning. Infineon truly empowers its employees across hierarchies.

I find my job extremely exciting. To excel in strategic planning, I follow the latest trends in international politics, technological innovations, and market developments. Every day brings possibilities and challenges.

Analyze market trends to support strategic decisions.
I've been working on a local competitive dashboard for Greater China (GC) recently. We have observed an increase in competition from local players in the GC market. This dashboard will play a crucial role in identifying the key local competitors and formulating effective strategies to counter their impact.
Competitive Intelligence: Monitoring and understanding the activities of competitors to identify potential threats and opportunities for the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with various departments and teams within the organization to align strategies and ensure the execution of strategic initiatives.
Decision Support: Providing strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management based on data-driven insights.
To respond swiftly to the fast-changing business environment, it is imperative to maintain a holistic view of our business. This entails keeping a vigilant eye on geopolitical events, technological developments, macroeconomics, competitor actions, market demands, and other relevant factors. By closely monitoring these aspects, we can proactively adapt our strategies and stay ahead in the dynamic market landscape.
My best day was in 2020, when we successfully completed the acquisition of Cypress. It had been a long journey since I joined Infineon in June 2019, as I had been involved in the project from the beginning. Only my colleagues in the project team truly understood the numerous challenges we had to overcome. During a conference call for a status update that day, we were informed that we had achieved our goal! The sense of accomplishment and elation in that moment was unparalleled, knowing that all our hard work and perseverance had paid off. It was a truly unforgettable and rewarding experience.
