Job description

The Sales & Marketing Learning Expert is responsible for the following in relation to technical (product/application) training as well as sales and marketing training for the Americas in partnership with the head of Business Practices department and the global Sales & Marketing Academy and Technical Training Academy teams (within Sales Marketing Excellence/Enablement) including their stakeholders e.g. PMM Power & RF Academy:

In your new role you will:

  • Manage training initiatives for the region Americas in concert with the Sales & Marketing Academy, the Technical Training Academy and their stakeholders
  • Identify training needs within the region e.g. via competence analysis to develop sales and marketing competencies, product/application knowledge and technical expertise
  • Develop training plans/roadmaps
  • Review effectiveness of training and offer alternative solutions to ensure learning objectives are met
  • Manage training budget and report progress on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Coordinate reporting on Sales Marketing and Distribution training metrics in Americas on monthly and quarterly basis
  • Design the training or workshop with the internal or external provider or with the subject matter experts in order to; Develop the training contents: feedback and guidance for storyline, quality and contents requirements that are relevant for the defined target group (internal and/or external) in the region
  • Select the suitable instructional methods such as eLearning, webcast, classroom training, workshop, coaching and conferences
  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests/quizzes to measure the effectiveness of the course/ events
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc
  • Research & incorporate training techniques and technologies matching industry best practices
  • Coordinate and develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders for various events and tradeshows
  • Select the suitable trainer or business coach to deliver the training or workshop such as Product to System Value Proposition
  • Qualify and motivate internal trainers and business coaches to deliver the training and workshops
  • Facilitate trainings (after certification) on various in-house soft skill trainings
  • Drive the training implementation and production in Americas as defined in the training production roadmap with internal and external providers
  • Create on-boarding plans for various Sales and Marketing target audiences
  • Partner and work directly with all Americas locations and departments to coordinate training delivery logistics including registration and scheduling, venues, classroom materials, billing, communication and course evaluations
  • Work directly with the stakeholders of the Sales & Marketing Academy and Technical Training Academy 
  • Partner with HR to publish and administrate eLearning in the learning management system (manage access rights, evaluation, reports

Profile

You are best equipped for this job if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing or related discipline is required with at least five years of relevant training experience; or a Masters degree with at least three years of relevant training experience
  • Training program design and delivery experience desired; specific experience in sales and marketing training programs is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with the business, developing a deep understanding of customer requirements and implementing effective solutions
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization is required, as well as the ability to collaborate in a team environment. Experience working in a global environment preferred
  • Strategic and analytical thinking capability is required as well as strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve stated objectives and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented individual who can be relied upon to produce accurate deliverables
  • Must be a self-starter who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Story-line, Adobe audition etc
  • Development perspectives: Become a qualified and certified trainer and/or business coach for Sales & Marketing training and/or workshops, and/or become an internal training designer for Sales & Marketing training as an alternative to external providers
