Job description

Members of our computer-aided test (CAT) team are responsible for methodology and software tool development used for chip test pattern and test program generation/verification. This is the right job for everybody who works smart and likes the challenge of interdisciplinarity.

In your new job you will:
  • develop methodology and tools for IC test pattern and test program generation/verification
  • be responsible for analysis of requirements, concept, specification, implementation and testing of new tools and features
  • collaborate with colleagues of chip design and test teams
  • provide user support and training with the help of presentations/demos of new tools and flows
During an individual training phase, you will learn about the application domain of Computer-Aided Testing (CAT), the existing tools and flows, the requirements and the challenges of new applications. With regular feedback discussions and planning of your professional and personal development, we want to ensure your success in this job.


You demonstrate strong communication skills, set high quality standards for yourself and other People, and generate value with your ideas and solutions. You communicate openly and clearly and you are able to quickly establish successful cooperation.

You are best equipped for this job if you have:
  • a university/university of applied sciences degree in Telematics, Microelectronics, Computer Sciences or equivalent
  • good knowledge in hardware design languages (VHDL and/or SystemVerilog); experience in chip design/modeling/verification/simulation is a benefit
  • expertise in C/C++ programming and scripting (→ Perl/Tcl/Python) and Unix environment
  • fluent English skills with German is a plus
We are looking to fill this job through one of our partners. A valid Austrian work permit or EU citizenship is a prerequisite. Our partner offers a payment of 2.851,15 EUR (gross) per month (14 times p.a.) according to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
