Job description

In this position you will be fully involved in the development phase of integrated circuits for the latest generation of our automotive product portfolios. You will be part of our Electronic Design Automation (EDA) team and with your expertise you will help us to provide design packages for optimal use of power technologies, give expert support to address technology and product challenges and match EDA flows & infrastructures with the product needs. These EDA activities include the development of runsets for proper verification of IC layouts.

In your new role duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Development of runsets (decks) for the physical verification of ICs (DRC, LVS, parasitic extraction)
  • Development of verification test structures
  • Methodology improvement for layout verification and quality assurance
  • Provide support for physical verification of power technology IC designs
This position is suitable for full time and part time.


You are best equipped for this job if you have:
  • A university master degree in Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Science, Physics or comparable
  • 7+ years of experience in development of runsets (also known as rule decks or PDK verification decks) for the physical verification of integrated circuits
  • Experience in Mentor/Calibre IC verification (DRC, LVS) and Cadence/QRC parasitic extraction tools
  • Relevant professional experience in semiconductor and PDK development
  • Additional CAD/EDA and programming skills are a plus
  • Fluent English skills, intermediate German skills
We are looking to fill this position through one of our partners. A valid work permit for Austria or EU citizenship is a prerequisite for this position. Our partner offers a minimum payment of 3.279,05 EUR (gross) per month (14 times p.a.) according to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
