RAID is a technique that combines multiple physical disks into one or more logical units for the purpose of making it a high-density data storage with data redundancy, data integrity, performance improvement, or all of these. RAID controller cards are the data storage devices used to manage hard disk drives or solid-state drives.
Our non-volatile SRAM (nvSRAM) and Ferroelectric RAM (F-RAM) are commonly used in these RAID card applications to keep track of the data packets while it transfers between the host and storage system, otherwise known as write journaling. F-RAMs are preferred over other non-volatile memories due to their fast write speeds, high endurance and ability to capture data instantly on power loss without the use of any power backup.
