At the heart of the system is the flight controller, which is built around an Infineon XMC4500 ARM® Cortex®-M4 32-bit microcontroller. IR2301 drivers, low-voltage MOSFETs and MPU9250 Invensense inertial measurement unit (IMU) provide the additional units that make up the electronic powertrain, motor control and flight sensing functional blocks.
The iMOTION™ modular application design kit (MADK) evaluation platform covers motor drive applications up to 1 kW. Using iMOTION™ MADK standardized M1 platform interface, different control and power boards can be combined in a system that perfectly matches the requirements of the application. This modular approach allows developers a maximum in flexibility and scalability during the evaluation and development phases at affordable cost.
Infineon EVALSHNBV01 sensor hub nano hosts one DPS310 barometric pressure sensor and a XMC1000 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 MCU. The sensor hub nano has an integrated battery and Bluetooth 4.0 to communicate wirelessly to PC or Android™ smart phones wirelessly, thanks to integrated Bluetooth™ 4.0 and battery. Infineon sensor hub nano can be used for quick testing and evaluation of DPS310 in the final application and it works as a platform to develop Android apps.
Infineon KITDPS3102GSHV02 wireless sensor hub 2.0 can read sensor values and transmit them to a PC via Bluetooth 4.0. or USB interfaces. The hub features the XMC 4500 µController, USB and Bluetooth interfaces, two ports with four I2C channels each and one port with an SPI interface. The hub has two independent voltage supplies for the sensors, a LiPoBattery controller and a small 85×55mm footprint.
The XMC1000 and XMC4400 motor control application kits are ready-made evaluation kits for three phase drives. These two kits are best suited to customer looking for a motor control plug & play experience. Both kits have a similar setup with a microcontroller board, the respective 24 V power board including n-channel OptiMOS™ power transistors and a three-phase gate driver EiceDRIVER™ from Infineon, rounded off with a brushless DC motor. The kits are supported by the DAVE™ motor control apps library, including sinusoidal and block commutation as well as various position detection and sensing schemes with encoder, hall sensors and shunts. The XMC4400 motor control application kit also includes a resolver interface.
This development kit allows the user to implement and test several sensing applications at the 24 GHz ISM band such as FMCW distance measurement, Doppler based movement detection, Doppler based direction of movement detection, and Doppler based speed measurements of targets. The kit consists of the BGT24MTR11 transceiver MMIC and a XMC4200 32-bit ARM® Cortex®-M4 for signal processing and communication via USB.
S2Go pressure DPS310 is an Arduino shield including one DPS310 barometric pressure sensor. It comes together with a ready-to-use Arduino library and it is pin-to-pin compatible with the Infineon XMC2Go MCU board. By using the Infineon Shield 2Go Adapter it can be easily connected to different Arduino boards thereby, easily developing system solutions. Infineon’s MyIoT adapters are gateways to external hardware solutions like Arduino and Raspberry PI being popular IoT hardware platforms. All this enables the fastest evaluation and development of IoT system.
