1.2 Contacting Us

If you contact us, we will collect your contact details depending on how you contact us (e.g. by email or telephone) as well as the content of your message. This may include your name, business postal address and business email address.

1.3 Order Information

If you would like to purchase the IPOSIM Lifetime Estimation Service, we may collect your data provided by you during the ordering process. This data may include your name, business contact details incl. your email address, postal address, company, country and VAT number. You can decide for a free trial subscription where no payment is required. If you decide to subscribe for one of our paid services, we will forward product related data like subscription type and product price to our service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Block 4, Harcourt Centre, Harcourt Road, Dublin 2, Ireland) for payment processing purposes. In addition, Stripe will directly collect and process further payment data from you in order to fulfill the payment processing. 1.4 Information for Campaigns and Surveys

We generally ask you for or use personal information like your name and email address if you take part in prize competitions or surveys. We conduct surveys for the purposes of receiving feedback from our customers and partners in areas such as (1) existing products and services (2) expectations and opinions regarding new products and services (3) and general opinions about, and experiences with, the Infineon brand and its affiliates.

Furthermore, if you provide feedback or ratings about our partners and their products and/or services, we may post your ratings on our website with your consent. To do so, we may collect and/or process your review, your centrally managed user account information and your alias.

1.5 Information on Your Interests

When you visit our website and/or integrated online services and portals, your activities and how you use our services are tracked and collected. This information is collected by using cookies and similar mechanisms, and is generally stored in a pseudonymized manner. When a user is logged in and uses one of our services, we may identify you as a user.
Furthermore, we may assign the information on how you interact with our services to your user profile for personalization purposes. This information in turn may be linked to your personal profile.

If, for example, you repeatedly visit a particular area of our website or you participate intensively in discussions about specific products and services, we can extrapolate your interests by means of usage analysis. This allows us to understand your interests from how you use our services in addition to the interests you have directly shared with us.

Business partners are all parties with whom Infineon maintains an active business relationship or with whom it is initiating such a relationship. In particular, contact persons at customers, prospective customers, suppliers, sales partners and service providers are affected by the processing of personal data.

  • use of our website, integrated online services and portals.

We process your personal data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • your given consent to the processing of personal data for one or more specific purposes
  • to perform a contract with you.
  • to comply with legal obligations.
  • to safeguard Infineon’s legitimate interests. Infineon has legitimate interests in processing your data for the following purposes:
    • to manage, perform and improve our services
    • to initiate, manage and perform business relationships.
    • to comply with legal obligations and international industry standards as well as internal policies Infineon has voluntarily subjected itself.
    • to protect Infineon’s products, facilities, rights and interests and
    • to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

When we are legally entitled to do so, we may transfer your personal data to other entities of the Infineon Group or to third-parties, especially to selected service providers, distributors, partners, and sales representatives. Please note that we do not sell your personal information to third parties or with any ad networks or ad server companies.

We enter into contracts with our service providers in which the requirements of relevant data protection laws are addressed. Service providers must take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of the rights and freedoms of the data subject and are prohibited from processing personal data in derogation of the Infineon's instructions.

If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area that may not be subject to equivalent data protection laws we will ensure that a transfer only takes place if an appropriate level of protection exists with the recipient and suitable safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses are provided.

Your personal data is retained only for as long as it is required for the specified purposes, unless there are more extensive statutory or contractual retention obligations (such as retention obligations under commercial and tax law).
