IR Receives Award from Lockheed Martin for Dedication to its GPS III Satellite Program
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, today announced that Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company has presented IR with a Flight Hardware Delivery Excellence award. The award recognizes IR's dedication to the technological achievement and mission success of Lockheed Martin's GPS III Satellite program.
GPS III is a next-generation satellite system utilizing IR's 70V M3G-Series of radiation hardened DC-DC converters. The first GPS III satellites will deliver three times better accuracy and up to eight times improved anti-jamming signal power while enhancing the spacecraft's design life and adding a new civil signal designed to be interoperable with international global navigation satellite systems.
Kevin Reardon, Senior Manager on the GPS III Program, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, presented the award to John Conley, Vice President of HiRel Operations and Engineering, International Rectifier.
