Comneon Launches APOXI Application Development Framework in Conjunction with Class 10 GPRS Protocol Stack on top of Infineon's Wireless System Development Environment

Developers using the APOXI framework do not need to be experts of mobile devices or wireless standards, but will find themselves in a software environment very similar to desktop development. They can concentrate on user interface and application development, without requiring a deeper knowledge and understanding of the underlying protocol stack (2G, 2.5G, 3G). The software development environment for APOXI includes powerful tools that allow the complete development and testing of the user interfaces and applications on a PC host system, saving significant development costs and time.
Together with partners, Comneon provides a whole range of mobile applications on top of APOXI. Through APOXI, the applications are available independently of hardware platform, the operating system or underlying protocol stack (2G, 2.5G, 3G). GPRS protocol stack software available
In addition to the introduction of APOXI, Comneon also announced the general availability of its Class 10 GPRS protocol stack software. Tin conjunction with APOXI, this GPRS solution, successfully tested on Infineons highly-integrated wireless system development platform represents an ideal base for the rapid design of mobile devices and mobile application development. Besides Multislot class 10 operation the stack supports the use of PBCCH (Packet Broadcast Common Control Channel).
