Infineon Technologies North America Adds Key Executive to Management Team; Names Cherie De Lacy as Vice President, Business Operations, Wireline Communication Products
SAN JOSE, Calif. May 27, 2002 Infineon Technologies North America Corp., announced that it named Cherie De Lacy, a veteran manager in communications and computer systems, as Vice President, Business Operations, Wireline Communications Products, Infineon Technologies North America Corp. De Lacy, who brings more than 20 years of experience with both start-up and multinational high technology firms to the position, will direct research and development, marketing and business development activities for the companys wireline communications group, including access, fiber optic and optical networking.
Before joining Infineon, De Lacy was the Vice President, Business Development for RealChip Communications, Inc., where she was responsible for developing the marketing strategy for the start-up companys media-over-net and custom ICs for advanced communications systems. Infineon, a top ten worldwide semiconductor company, is one of the leading providers of integrated circuits (ICs) for traditional telecommunications and copper-based broadband connectivity, and modular components for fiber optics transmission.

From 1994 2000, De Lacy was an Associate Vice President of Sales for Mitsubishi Electronics, America, where she was responsible for establishing and growing the companys worldwide business with Cisco Systems, Inc. Her efforts enabled Mitsubishi to become Ciscos first Japanese Preferred Supplier and earned the company Ciscos Supplier of the Year award. Additionally, De Lacy established global processes for serving key accounts including Sun Microsystems, Lucent, Nortel and Compaq. De Lacy also was a senior partner at C-Com, Inc., an electronics sales firm that she founded in 1989 and sold in 1993. She was Regional Sales Manager at Everex Systems from 1987 1989 and was instrumental in developing the companys customer penetration strategy. Her electronics career began with Texas Instruments, in the Consumer Electronics Group. De Lacy graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Business Administration.
