2021

Infineon Technologies has been again listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability™ World Index and in the Dow Jones Sustainability™ Europe Index.  Infineon was ranked among the top of the world’s most sustainable companies for the 12th time in a row. Out of 65 companies assessed in the semiconductor sector Infineon is part of the nine companies included in the global index. The award is a proof that our products and technologies address the challenges of the future and the future-orientation and sustainable performance are untouchable principles for our Company.

With its Corporate Philanthropy Awards & Summit, the business journal “San Francisco Business Times” recognizes companies that have made a particular contribution to charitable organizations in the region.

 

 

 

At this year’s Bosch Global Supplier Awards, Bosch honors suppliers in the sustainability category for the first time, selecting from around 23,000 suppliers worldwide. Bosch justifies making the award to Infineon because of its longstanding voluntary carbon reduction activities in production and its comprehensive corporate strategy with ambitious sustainability targets.

FTSE Russell, the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company, evaluates the performance of companies based on internationally recognized standards relating to ecological, social and economic criteria.

Infineon is ranked in the Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120 Index, which lists the 120 best companies in the eurozone in the area of CSR3. As one of the most successful companies in Europe, Infineon is listed in the Euronext Vigeo Europe 120 Index. This index includes the 120 companies with the most successful performance in the area of Environmental, Social and Governance criteria throughout Europe.

 

 

 

The Money4Change-Impact Award initiated by management consultancy Mercer and “Institutional Money” magazine recognizes strategies, processes or solutions that support the Sustainable Development Goals in various categories. Infineon Austria is the winner in the Corporate category.

The MSCI World ESG Index focuses on Environmental, Social and Governance aspects. The index works on the best-in-class principle. For the third consecutive year, Infineon is rated AA.

For the eleventh consecutive year, Infineon makes it into the Sustainability Yearbook published by S&P Global in cooperation with RobecoSAM. Infineon is once again among the ten best semiconductor manufacturers in the world in terms of entrepreneurial sustainability.

 

 

Prime Status is awarded to companies with an ESG performance above the sector-specific threshold, which means that they fulfill ambitious absolute performance requirements.

At the tenth China Charity Festival, Infineon is presented with the Best Charity Practice Award and the Best Charity Project Award. One of the award-winning projects involves working together with the Shanghai Rende Foundation aiming to teach children in communities and schools about science and technology.

The award is a proof that our products and technologies address the challenges of the future and the future-orientation and sustainable performance are untouchable principles for our Company.

 

EcoVadis, an independent rating agency that monitors the sustainability of suppliers, analyzes Infineon with regard to ecological, social, ethical and financial influencing factors. The result: Infineon is awarded the status "Gold" for the sixth time in a row.

This index includes the 120 companies with the most successful performance in the area of environmental, social and governance criteria throughout Europe.
Prime Status is awarded to companies with a sustainability performance above the sector-specific threshold, which means that they can fulfill ambitious absolute performance requirements. The evaluation takes over 100 criteria into consideration. 
FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Infineon Technologies AG has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.
Infineon Technologies has been reconfirmed as a constituent of the Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe since 08/05/2020.

Infineon has made the Sustainability Yearbook for the tenth year in a row and has been recognized as one of the top-scoring companies in the Semiconductor Industry. This shows that it is not only our innovative products that make an important contribution to facing global societal challenges such as climate protection, energy efficiency and resource management. It also recognizes the fact that we concentrate on ecologically and economically sustainable action when manufacturing our products.

The Sustainability Yearbook lists the best corporate sustainability performance by industry sector. Over 4700 companies from 61 sectors were assessed. This classification shows once again that Infineon is one of the most sustainable companies worldwide.

Since 2014, Infineon has been publishing information in the CDP (=Carbon Disclosure Project) on the opportunities and risks for the company resulting from climate change and water security. The number of points derived is then compared with other companies in the information technology and semiconductor industry.

The significant extent of Infineon Austria’s research and its invention power in the field of climate protection was recognized by ÖGVS1 with the Green Tech Award 2020. Infineon Austria is thus one of the top three companies in Austria in terms of patenting technologies or applications to mitigate climate change or to adapt to it.

2019

Infineon Technologies has been reconfirmed for inclusion in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register since 06/03/2019. This selection by Forum ETHIBEL (www.forumethibel.org) indicates that the company performs better than average in its sector in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

2018

In the 2018 fiscal year Infineon Technologies Austria wins the EMAS award for its exemplary performance in the area of sustainability. The Infineon Technologies Austria environmental statement shows that the classical environmental topics and occupational safety both receive a high priority. The environmental program includes among other things additional energy savings, increased recycling rates for solvents as well as further improved emergency planning and additional safety training.
The prize is awarded by VCÖ for the corporate mobility management project “Green Way” in the Working World and Education category. Infineon Technologies Austria’s objective with “Green Way” is for its employees to be “greener and smarter” as early as on the way to work.
 
Various campaigns are launched to encourage employees to come to work more often by foot, bicycle, using public transportation or in carpools. This also entails the improvement of the bicycle parking facility to include its own service station, collective purchase of eBikes, expansion of charging infrastructure and the use of eBikes for business-related trips.
The Infineon frontend site Kulim (Malaysia) is recognized for “Best Environmental Impact (Large Company)” by the non-profit organization EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its performance as part of a systematic program to increase energy efficiency.

2017

The Singapore Public Hygiene Council awards the Infineon site in Singapore a certificate for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to prevent the pollution of Singapore’s longest river, the Kallang.
