NLM0011 and NLM0010
NLM0011 is a dual-mode NFC configuration IC with PWM output primarily designed for LED applications. Using this device, advanced features like wireless LED current configuration and constant lumen output (CLO) can be implemented without the need for an additional microcontroller. Since it is designed to work together with main stream analog driver ICs, there are minimum efforts to adopt it into existing or new design.
NLM0011 operates in two operating modes: passive and active modes. In the passive mode where the LED driver module is not powered, parameters related to PWM can be configured wirelessly via the NFC interface. In the active mode, as soon as the LED driver module is powered, a PWM output is generated according to the stored parameters.
With an external R/C filter, the PWM signal is converted to a desired DC voltage to control the current output of a LED driver module. With an integrated operation time counter (OTC) and stored LED degradation curve in the CLO table, the PWM signal can be automatically adjusted to compensate the LED degradation.
There are additional features included such as on/off counter, operation time tracking, in-production calibration, separate access code for driver module maker and lamp maker. NLM0010 is a light version without CLO function.
