PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7XL
For infotainment systems, the PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7XL microcontrollers CTAT817X microcontroller series can replace mechanical on/off buttons with a capacitive touchscreen, enabling sleek, modern interior designs. The controllers perform acoustic and haptic feedback processing on-chip for faster response times compared to distributed implementations where the chip is connected to a head-unit via the controller area network (CAN) or the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) backchannels. The Gen7XL MCU family operates in the packages 100-pin TQFP, 128-pin TQFP, supports screen sizes up to 35 inches and thick glove (5 mm), includes noise-suppression technologies, wet-finger tracking, as well as serial interfaces I2C and SPI. The Family comes in two variants the Hybrid in Cell and the Multichip.

System benefits of the PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7XL MCU family
The PSOC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7XL is packed with features that make it a powerful tool for creating advanced touchscreens. It is Automotive Electronics Council (AEC) AEC-Q100 qualified and features a multi-chip controller with a 32-bit Arm Cortex CPU that is register-configurable and equipped with noise-suppression technologies for display and EMI. With an effective 20-V drive for higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and AutoArmor technology that improves electromagnetic emissions and immunity, water rejection, wet-finger tracking, and multitouch glove with automatic mode switching, this controller is designed to offer superior touch experience. It supports up to 10 fingers with thin glove and two fingers with thick glove, fingernail tracking, large object rejection, and automatic baseline tracking to environmental changes. With a maximum screen size of up to 35-inch diagonal and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, this controller is equipped with a high-order multi-phase TX capability for higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), an integrated DSP to process and filter data for faster scanning and better noise filtering, and more.
