Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Improve Equipment Availability - Drive actions to increase tool stability through problem solving methodology (8D, 5 whys, poke yoke, PDCA, fault tree analysis, etc.) and tool improvement activities
  • Lead maintenance teams in troubleshooting equipment problems and in equipment improvement activities
  • Work with maintenance to define PM procedures and training equipment
  • Acquisition & upgrade - Create and review equipment acquisition specifications and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable legal requirements, regulations and company policies
  • Develop and implement the testing and acceptance of equipment to validate that equipment performance meets the documented specifications
  • Be responsible for the entire process of equipment definition, Installation and release to production working with supplier and IFAM departments
  • Improve Process Stability - Drive to increase process stability through clear and concise documented specifications, reviewing and setting up proper SPC charts, problem solving methodology (8D, 5 whys, poke yoke, PDCA, fault tree analysis, etc.)
  • Lead improvement teams in troubleshooting product//materials/equipment problems
  • Work with process technicians to define OCAP’s, procedures and training plans and other process controls and tools
  • Support R&D in setting up equipment/recipes and resolving process issues


You are best equipped for this job if you have:

  • BS Degree Electrical Engineering, in Electronics, Electromechanical, etc. or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience within the semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of probe process equipment systems and subsystems, setup and maintenance (Testers: Tesec Spektra 881TT/A, Eagle 200T, ASL 1000, SZ M3020, Probers: Electroglas 2010, 4060 & 4090, Tel Octo Precio,
    Accretech UF200A)
  • Knowledge of Automatic Visual Inspection equipment a plus (Rudolph, Mechatronic handlers)
  • Knowledge of probe card design and maintenance
  • Knowledge of computer systems and database networking
  • Skilled in SPC, FDC, and DOE
  • Ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams of process and equipment engineers and technicians in continuous process improvement activities and provide training
