Westlake Village, Calif. — January 28, 2003 — RiverOne Inc., a provider of supply chain software and services for manufacturers to control processes between customers and suppliers, announced today the acquisition of Softchain, Inc., a provider of collaborative supply chain planning software designed to control the flow of materials across extended manufacturing supply chains. The acquisition of Softchain further extends RiverOne’s offering of the industry’s first Supply Chain Control System, consisting of integrated connectivity, planning, execution and exception management capabilities.

According to Maury Friedman, president and CEO of RiverOne, “The acquisition of Softchain reflects RiverOne’s continued commitment to providing customers with the software and services they need to build and operate competitive supply chains. Our software and services are customer proven and are delivering value. The addition of supply chain planning enables RiverOne to deliver the industry’s first complete supply chain control system for supply chain operations. This together with our experienced team makes RiverOne a trusted partner for supply chain management solutions.”

The Softchain supply chain planning products enable customers to aggregate and communicate demand signals to all supply chain partners, analyze the impact of constantly changing demand and supply conditions, and continually synchronize material flow to balanced demand.
