The XMC™ microcontroller family is based on ARM® Cortex®-M cores. It is dedicated to applications in the segments of power conversion, factory and building automation, transportation and home appliances . XMC1000 bring together the ARM® Cortex®-M0 core and market-proven and differentiating peripherals in a leading-edge 65 nm manufacturing process. XMC1000 is the number one choice for bringing traditional 8-bit designs to the next level, addressing a broad application spectrum from typical 8-bit applications up to digital power conversion and even field-oriented motor control.
XMC4000 are powered by ARM® Cortex®-M4 with a built-in DSP instruction set. The single-precision floating-point unit, Direct Memory Access (DMA) feature and Memory Protection Unit (MPU) are state-of-the-art for all F64K128devices – even the smallest XMC4000 runs with up to 80 MHz in core and peripherals. They come with a comprehensive set of common, fast and precise analog/mixed signal, timer/PWM and communication peripherals.

AURIX™ TC2xx microcontrollers serve the precise needs of the automotive and industrial market in terms of performance and safety. Its innovative multicore architecture is based on up to three independent 32-bit TriCore™ CPUs and has been designed to meet the highest safety standards, while simultaneously increasing performance significantly.
The latest AURIX™ TC3xx microcontrollers are also well-suited for safety-critical applications to support clean, autonomous, connected cars and to support IoT forconnected, safe, secure industrial applications. It ranges from classic airbag, braking and power steering to fail-operational systems supported by sensor-based systems using radar, LIDAR or camera technologies. From Industrial segment applications like safe and secure servo drives, PLCs, drones, robots and also medical applications.
AURIX™ TC3xx is pin compatible with the AURIX™ TC2xx and offers increased flash memory sizes of up to 16 MByte, over 6 MByte of integrated RAM and up to six TriCore™ 1.62 embedded cores, each with a full clock frequency of 300 MHz. New features include a new radar processing sub-system with up to two dedicated Signal Processing Units (SPU), Gigabit Ethernet , additional CAN FD and LIN interfaces and an eMMC interface for external flash.
Embedded Power ICs (System-on-Chip)
Infineon has combined its wealth of experience in microcontroller with a highly integrated System-on-Chip solutions. Our MCU portfolio includes Embedded Power ICs which integrate on single die the 32-bit microcontroller, the non-volatile flash memory, the analog and mixed signal peripherals, the communication interfaces along with the driving stages needed for either relay, half-bridge or full-bridge DC and BLDC motor applications. Our Embedded Power System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions offer an unmatched level of integration of all functions required to sense, control and actuate a motor, and enable PCB space saving while helping to reduce energy consumption due to power saving modes. Extensive diagnostics and protections are embedded within the system-on-chip, more than a discrete approach can offer. Besides that, our solutions reduce cost through minimum number of external components, and enable multiple and flexible designs. Embedded Power ICs can be used for a range of motor control applications such as window lift, sunroof, wiper, fuel pump, HVAC fans, engine cooling fan, water pumps. Infineon Embedded Power ICs are supported by a complete development tool chain provided by Infineon and third party vendors. The tool chain includes compiler, debugger, evaluation board, LIN low level driver and configuration tool as well as various software code examples.
