英飞凌新总部在新加坡落成
SINGAPORE - 12 May 2005 Infineon Technologies Asia Pte Ltd, a global leader in semiconductors, opens its Asia Pacific Headquarters building at Kallang Sector today. The two 10-storey towers house Infineons regional headquarters functions in the Asia Pacific, including production, logistics, sales and marketing and R&D. Besides having an Integrated Circuits (IC) Design centre, Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific is also the global testing hub for its logic IC products. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by guest of honour, Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister of Trade and Industry for Singapore, in the presence of Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG.
Established since 1970, Infineon in Singapore has grown and expanded in tandem with the local economy over the last 35 years, with a total staff strength of approximately 2,350 in Singapore. As one of the pioneering semiconductor companies to invest in Singapore, Infineon has contributed significantly to the growth of the Singapore semiconductor industry, having invested a total of One Billion Singapore dollars since its establishment.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Lim commented, Singapores partnership with Infineon spans over 30 years. Since the establishment of its IC Design Centre in the early 1990s, Infineons R&D team here has grown to over 300 research scientists and engineers. Infineon also employs some 200 IC designers. This makes Infineon the largest IC design team in Singapore.
"The opening of the new Asia Pacific Headquarters building marks a significant milestone for Infineon," said Dr. Ziebart. "Currently, the Asia Pacific headquarters contributes over one-third of Infineons revenue. With Asia on its continued path as one of the strongest growth engines for the semiconductor industry, Infineon is poised for further growth.

Fronting the Pan Island Expressway in the Kallang Sector, the Infineon Asia Pacific Headquarters occupy a net floor area of 21,151 square metres situated on a land area of 10,978 square metres.
