Our Mission Future continues

Sep 17, 2021 | Market News

On 17 September, Infineon Austria sent out a globally visible reminder of what our employees have built up over the past 50 years with the opening of our new chip factory (Link eMag). Away from the limelight, our colleagues do exactly what they and their predecessors have always done: They work on small things that make a big difference.

The Villach manufacturing team is rocking one ramp after another: not only in the area of 300-mm silicon technologies, but also for new semiconductor materials, additional capacities are constantly being created. The radar systems developed in Linz are continuously improved and awarded: most recently with the Innovation Award of the State of Upper Austria, and in Graz our colleagues are already working on the next big thing: ion-based quantum processors. The future can come, we are ready!
