Infineon fulfills 600 children's wishes and helps in the region

Dec 15, 2022 | Business & Financial Press

With the "Christmas Wish Tree" campaign, Infineon employees have fulfilled the heart's desires of over 600 children and young people from socio-educational institutions.

Over 600 heartfelt wishes arrived at Infineon in the form of lovingly designed Christmas cards. The wishes ranged from card games and books to cuddly dolls and clothing. The Infineon christmas-wish-team organized the campaign together with the socio-educational institutions Josefinum, Haus Antonius, Diakonie, Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Villach, SOS Kinderdorf Moosburg, Amica, Pro Juventute Graz and Linz. Each gift thus arrives exactly where it is eagerly awaited: with children and young people. The ceremonial gift handover took place today in the presence of Infineon Austria CEO Sabine Herlitschka.

Fifth Christmas Wish Campaign

The campaign took place for the fifth time at Infineon Austria. The high level of participation by employees at the Villach, Klagenfurt, Graz and Linz sites once again demonstrated how the company philosophy is truly lived by each and every one of them, and how 1200 children's eyes light up in the process.

Rapid help during the storm disaster in Villach: Infineon supported with 50,000 euros

As a regionally connected leading company, Infineon Austria promotes the quality of life locally and helps especially in crisis situations. For this reason, Infineon also provided rapid and immediate assistance during the severe weather disaster in the Villach region in the summer of 2022. Reconstruction activities were supported with a donation of 50,000 euros to the affected communities of Arriach and Treffen.

Infineon Education Fund

Since 2019, the Infineon Education Fund has also been running together with Caritas. Meanwhile, 105,000 euros are being used to finance three Caritas learning cafés in Villach, Spittal an der Drau and Graz-Lend. More than 75 children and young people thus receive free learning support. The Infineon team, some of whom also work as learning assistants, can thus not only bring real joy, but also provide support where it is urgently needed.
