Villach, 4 April 2023 - Alexandra Wachschütz (46) has taken over as Head of Communications and Public Policy at Infineon Austria as of April 1. She succeeds Alexander Tarzi, who is taking on a new professional challenge in the energy industry.

Alexandra Wachschütz has already been responsible for public relations, stakeholder communications and event management at Infineon Austria for around eight years. In recent years, her focus has increasingly been on strategic communications management for Infineon's expansion projects at all Austrian sites, in particular the expansion of production in Villach and the development centers in Graz and Linz.

Sabine Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon Austria: "Decarbonization and digitalization are the central topics that Infineon addresses with its products and system solutions. With Alexander Tarzi we have communicated these focus topics very effectively in recent years, for which I would like thank him and wish him all the best in his new role. At the same time, I am delighted that Alexandra Wachschütz, a proven communications expert from within the company, is taking on this management position. Thanks to her extensive knowledge of the industry and her experience, she is ideally placed to communicate the great importance of these future fields with her team in a way that is tailored to the target group, and thus to get people excited about Infineon."

From her time before Infineon, Alexandra Wachschütz brings many years of communications experience from the agency sector (including ECC PUBLICO) to a management position in the marketing department of Volksbank GHB Kärnten.
