Ecxellent: VCÖ awards Infineon Austria for climate ticket initiative

Infineon Austria enables its employees at all five locations in Austria to travel free of charge by public transport with the “Klimaticket Bundesland”. For this, Infineon was awarded the VCÖ Mobility Award Carinthia 2022 as an exemplary project.

Infineon Austria offers its more than 5,000 employees free travel to work by public transport and the “Klimaticket Bundesland”. Free travel has already been provided by Infineon to all employees at all five Infineon sites as well as temporary workers since 2019 as part of the company mobility program "Green Way". The addition of the “Klimaticket Bundesland” now provides a greater incentive to use the train and bus instead of the car during even during leisure time.

Second "Green Way" award for Infineon     

The award as an exemplary project at the VCÖ Mobility Award Carinthia 2022 was accepted by CSR Manager Matthias Felsberger and Project Manager Corinna Pichler. This is the second award for the Infineon "Green Way" program after 2018. With the company mobility management "Green Way", Infineon Austria has already been committed to making the way to work 'greener and smarter' since 2016.

In addition to investments in the expansion of the e-charging infrastructure and secure bicycle parking, Infineon Austria also attaches great importance to the connection to and use of public transport. In addition, incentives are provided to make greater use of public transport, even on business trips. In this way, Infineon makes an active contribution to sustainable development, promotes environmental awareness in the region and takes its social responsibility seriously. The "Green Way" offers are aimed at all Infineon employees and temporary workers.

VCÖ Mobility Award Carinthia     

The VCÖ Mobility Award Carinthia is organized by the VCÖ in cooperation with the Province of Carinthia and ÖBB and supported by the Carinthian Transport Association.
