Infineon Christmas Wishes Tree campaign makes childrens’s heart’s desires come true

Dec 12, 2019 | Business & Financial Press

The Christmas trees at the Infineon Austria site are extra special this year. They were all decorated with 472 of hand-made cards in which children and teenagers from social-educational facilities in Carinthia wrote down their Christmas wishes. Infineon employees have made the wishes of all these children come true, and the personal gifts were presented at the Christmas party yesterday.

The Christmas Wishes Tree campaign is very dear to Oliver Heinrich, CFO of Infineon Austria: "We are delighted by the great response in this second year of the campaign. Each gift brings joy and happiness and goes precisely to the child who awaited it most eagerly. I would like to thank our employees most warmly for their gifts; their generosity is an active expression of our corporate philosophy". As a leading company closely embedded in the region, Infineon Austria also sees its responsibility in supporting social projects and promoting quality of life locally.

The Christmas Wishes Tree campaign was organized for the second time this year and was able to fulfil twice as many wishes as last year. It did not take long for the Infineon employees to take down all 472 wishes from the trees at the end of November. The children had wished among other things for cuddly dolls, card games, books and also warm clothing, and the gift were distributed yesterday at a Christmas party celebrated with the children, all the givers of gifts, Infineon CFO Oliver Heinrich and Father Christmas. The Christmas Wishes Tree campaign was organized by Infineon Austria together with the welfare institutions "Amica Jugendbetreuung", "Josefinum Viktring" in Klagenfurt, "Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Villach" and "Haus Antonius" and “Haus Herrnhilf" both in Treffen.
