Design highly integrated HMI systems for large cockpit touchscreens
Designing advanced features such as hover, force touch, or a wakeup button for large touchscreen HMI systems is a challenge. Hover signals can be much weaker than bare finger touch, and force measurement requires physical displacement. Traditional controllers need to synchronize with the touch controller, adding cost and latency. Capacitive touchscreens do not operate reliably in automotive HMI systems and can register false touches due to electromagnetic emissions.
The PSoC™ Automotive Multitouch Gen7XL solves these problems by offering 50-mm hover performance, capacitive displacement measurement for force touch with a refresh rate of up to 100 Hz, and integrated haptic and acoustic feedback control for an enhanced user experience. Additionally, AutoArmor technology improves electromagnetic immunity and reduces emissions. These ICs deliver reliable and high-quality touch performance for automotive HMI systems with advanced features and improved efficiency.
