EZ-USB™ serial bridge controller is a family of full-speed 12 Mbps bridge controllers offering both configurable and fixed-function options. They offer configurable serial communication channels for UART/I2C/SPI interfaces, with ultra-low-power consumption in standby mode (5 µA). The fixed-function bridges can be easily configured to work as USB to UART, USB to I2C, or USB to SPI bridges without requiring any firmware development by the user.

This user-friendly graphical application offers an interactive platform for defining the assorted boot parameters that are stored in the device's flash memory. Through this utility, users can save their preferred configurations in either text or XML formats. Similarly, the utility facilitates the loading of specific configurations from either text or XML formats. The configuration utility encompasses the following functions: viewing the current device configuration; selecting and configuring I2C, CAPSENSE™, battery charging, and GPIO settings; configuring USB vendor ID (VID), product ID (PID), and string descriptors; saving or loading configurations as needed.
