For Infineon, we are responsible in sustainability and protection of our environment as part of the legal fulfilment. We actively explore ways and drives various Energy Management approach to utilise our resources wisely.
At Infineon Singapore, the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) committee reviews Infineon's daily production meetings, monthly safety committee meetings and annual management reviews. It also has communication campaigns to promote environmental sustainability. Some of these campaigns include "Go for Safety, Go for Green" and "Safe-Organise-Conserve Carnival" held annually.
We manage our waste via a recycling centre located within the factory premises. Municipal waste are separated from recyclable waste at our recycling centre and these recyclable materials are sent to our appointment recycling contractor
The "Water Efficient Building" Certificate was awarded to Infineon for its efforts in implementing water efficiency measures for long term savings.
Infineon Singapore has earmarked several projects to improve energy efficiency at its factories and offices. First is the chiller system efficiency improvement project which plans to replace existing chillers with more energy-efficient ones. Second is the air-compressor project to sequence and replace old and poor performing compressors respectively to improve energy efficiency. Third is the LED retrofit project to progressively replace existing lamps with LED ones to save energy.
