1. Intro
Infineon's supply chain, starting with purchasing products/ services from our suppliers and resulting in the delivery to our customers, is supported by lots of e-business activities.
At Infineon, these so-called B2B (Business-to-Business) processes vary from order-cycle management (e.g., purchasing orders, order confirmation, etc.) to fully automated consignment stock handling (with stock information exchange, advanced shipping notification, etc.).
Infineon offers two different kinds of fully application integrated data exchanges without human intervention:
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) based on EDIFACT, Ansi X.12 or VDA standards
- Process-oriented RosettaNet
In addition, we can exchange tailored information via web-based technology.
For further information please check the eBusiness contact.
2. Role of Infineon in B2B Consortia
Infineon is a member of EDIFICE, the European B2B User Group that provides a forum for UN/EDIFACT users and for RosettaNet users. www.edifice.org
