Automotive High Precision Voltage Tracking Regulator TLS102B0MB
Application Circuit

The OPTIREG™ Linear TLS102B0MB is a monolithic integrated low-dropout voltage tracking
regulator with high accuracy. The TLS102B0MB is designed to supply off-board systems, for
example sensors in powertrain management systems under the severe conditions of automotive
applications. Up to a supply voltage of 40 V and up to an output current of 20 mA the output
voltage follows the reference voltage applied to the EN/ADJ input with very high accuracy.
The required minimum reference voltage at EN/ADJ is 2.0 V

The TLS102B0MB has additional protection functions against reverse polarity and short circuit to
GND and battery.

Thermal model description:
THERMAL_MODEL = 1: JEDEC 1s0p, 600mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 2: JEDEC 1s0p, 300mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 3: JEDEC 1s0p, footprint
THERMAL_MODEL = 4: JEDEC 2s2p, no vias
THERMAL_MODEL = 5: JEDEC 2s2p, with vias
THERMAL_MODEL = 10: No self heating, only TEMP value used as temperature

Model performance :
- dynamic behavior not modeled (CQ/ESR stability, line/load transient response,
start-up, PSRR)
- static behavior is modelled by approximation to the real behavior of the device
over temperature
- the thermal simulations represent an approximation of the actual thermal
behavior of the device according to the JEDEC standards at power = 0.2 Watt,
temperature=25 °C

Ven range 2V to 20V for tracking functionality
