OptiMOS™3 40 V MOSFETs for power conversion
The new MOSFETs are intended for a variety of power conversion and management applications, including SMPSs (Switched-Mode Power Supplies) from
industrial bus, DC / DC converters, DC motor drives in computers, synchronous rectification in telecom and datacom system. The OptiMOS
TM3 40 V family is
available in six different packages: D2PAK 7pin, D2PAK, TO-220, DPAK, SuperSO8 and S3O8. The very high switching performance and low R
DS(on) offers the chance to reduce significantly the size of packages used. While the products in D2PAK 7pin form a class of their own, the SuperSO8 devices – i.e. the BSC016N04LS G (1.6 mW (max), logic level) and BSC017N04NS G (1.7 mW (max), normal level) – can substitute the best standard D2PAKs available today, shrinking required boardspace by 80 %. The new shrinked version of the SuperSO8 – the S3O8, i.e. BSZ040N04NS G – can similarly substitute SO-8 or DPAK solutions with 80 % less board space requirements.
