PMAfob is a typical application design for a wireless remote control transmitter. It is a single-chip solution utilizing the unique advantages of the SmartLEWIS™ MCU family which combines an 8-bit microcontroller and an RF-transmitter.
A design goal was reasonable RF-performance despite of very restricted physical dimensions of the keyfob’s housing and lowest system cost. With the 434 MHz PCB-loop-antenna and an optimized RF-matching network the radiated power spectrum complies with FCC and ETSI regulations for wireless devices.
Besides the hardware design, PMAfob comprises an application software example including encryption and rolling code functionality and a demonstrator software. The demonstrator software running on the PC is available in two versions, one demonstrating typical Home Automation applications and the other an automotive RKE system (Remote Keyless Entry).
The PMAfob is a demonstrator only and could be made available on request. Hardware and Software references are available for Download.
