MIPAQ™

MIPAQ™ the new IGBT Modules Integrating Power, Application & Quality.

MIPAQ™ is a brandnew functional product family within Infineon's IGBT modules portfolio and as such dedicated to useful integration of electronics to power modules

The MIPAQ™ IGBT modules family counts 3 members with different levels of electronics integration:

  • MIPAQ™base provides an IGBT sixpack  plus current sense shunts inside. These modules in sixpack configuration with NTC  are available in the well-proven EconoPACK™3 housing with 75A, 100A and even 150A nominal current. The integrated shunt for current measurement makes current sensors or external shunts redundant. Thus, MIPAQ™base shunt modules save space, reduce system cost, help to manage the temperature on the PCB while allowing very high measurement accuracy.

  • The second family member is MIPAQ™sense, which integrates an IGBT sixpack and fully digital current measurement with galvanically isolated output signals. The measurement principle uses the Sigma Delta method. Current ratings of 50A, 75A and 100A are available.

  • The family is completed by  MIPAQ™serve, which consists of an IGBT sixpack plus a full set of drivers and temperature measurement on top of the IGBT module. By this configuration, Infineon offers a full plug and play solution for high current drive applications. Inside the module, there is a galvanically isolated driver based on Infineon’s Coreless Transformer Technology. The temperature measurement of the base plate inside the module offers an isolated signal as well. There are no optocouplers inside so that longterm stability of the galvanic separation can be achieved. Current ratings of 75A, 100A ,150A and 200A are available. Infineon's new MIPAQ™serve features also the newely developed EconoPACK™4 package.
