DAVE™ – Free Development Platform for Code Generation

Availability

As of  February, 26, 2013  a new version of DAVE™ is available: v.3.1.6 ( DOWNLOAD )

This new version provides faster code generation, faster download of DAVE Apps and faster processing of graphical user interfaces. It also contains quite a few fixes for various issues and all XMC1000 and XMC4000 devices are supported. Details can be found  in the release note here.
Version 3.1.6 is labeled as release candidate.

A complete set of DAVE™ Apps is already included in the installer for DAVE 3.1.6. DAVE™ Apps can be also downloaded or updated from the web directly from DAVE™ 3. Currently there are more than 100 DAVE™ Apps available that cover different application use cases like:

• Clock setup
• Power management
• I/O , Interrupt,DMA, exception and event request management
• Flash programming
• CAN, SPI, UART and I2C communications
• TCP/IP stack
• USB stack incl. device and host drivers
• File system
• GUI library
• RTOS (CMSIS RTX)
• PWM generation, signal capture, signal count and timers
• Analog digital conversion
• Analog signal generation
• Motor control solutions
• Lighting solutions
• Encryption/ decryption
• .....

New DAVE™ Apps or updates are released monthly (end of the month). Current focus is to complete the device support for the new microcontrollers of the XMC1000 and XMC4000 family and to increase application use case coverage.

Reference examples of the different DAVE™ Apps can also be downloaded from the internet directly from DAVE™ 3.

The DAVE™ eTicketing tool allows entering and tracking of limitations and bugs.
