DAVE™ 3 will support the XMC4000 family.
Other Infineon MCU families are supported by DAVE version 2.
The 3rd generation of DAVE, DAVE™ 3 includes all the functionalities of the existing DAVE™ tools:
- It is a complete free tools set including IDE, compiler, debugger and utilities like DAVE™Bench
- It provides comprehensive code generation features more powerful than in DAVE™ Drive and DAVE™ version 2
Automatic code generation is based on use case oriented, configurable and tested SW components, DAVE™ Apps.
DAVE™ Apps are comparable to executable and configurable Application Notes that can be downloaded form the web just like Apps for smart phones or tablet PCs.
DAVE™ 3 helps you to significantly reduce the SW development time for embedded applications.
Availability
DAVE™ 3 is currently available as Beta version (version 3.1.2) and can be downloaded from
here.
Beta version means, the tool is fully usable but not fully tested and not all the target functionality is implemented.
Currently we plan bimonthly updates.
The DAVE™ Apps can be downloaded from the internet directly form DAVE™ 3. Currently there are 28 DAVE™ Apps available that cover different application cases like clock setup, I/O, Interrupt/DMA, Ethernet communication, file system, PWM generation, signal capture and count, timer encryption/decryption.
We will start releasing new DAVE™ Apps by end of May in a biweekly sequence.
