LED Driver Product Portfolio

LED Driver types of the BCR40x series are mainly foreseen for low current operation.

BCR450 is the ideal solution to drive high power LED’s in combination with an external transistor. The output current can be scaled by using different types for transistors depending on the required LED drive current up to 2.0A. Since the BCR450 is a linear driver it doesn’t cause any EMI that is critical for communication bus systems and medical equipment. The BCR450 has protection features like thermal shutdown, over voltage and over current protection and is suited for following applications:

  •    architectural & general lighting
  •    medical & dental lighting
  •    train and aircraft lighting
  •    strobe lighting

Further details for the usage of BCR450 LED Driver for high current applications can be found in the application note AN105 .
