Pressure Sensors

In the automotive area, there is a substantial interest in low-cost fully integrated sensors. In order to meet this requirement the Infineon pressure sensors KP1xx are using a capacitive measurement principle and are fabricated in a surface micromachining technique.
This allows the integration of the sensor cell together with digital read-out circuitry monolithically onto one chip by using a standard BiCMOS-process.
