Infineon's TRENCHSTOP™ 5 IGBT technology redefines "best in class" IGBT by providing unmatched performance in terms of efficiency for hard switching applications such as UPS, PV, Energy storage and Welding.

 

TRENCHSTOP™ 5 H5 (HighSpeed 5) family is the high speed variant, designed for ultimate efficiency for applications switching faster than 30kHz.

 

TRENCHSTOP™ 5 F5 is optimized for switching >60kHz to deliver optimum efficiency and bridging the gap between MOSFETs and IGBTs.

 

TRENCHSTOP™ 5 L5 is at the other end of the switching frequency range, it is optimized to deliver outstanding performance in designs switching <10kHz.

 

TRENCHSTOP™ 5 WR5 is a special reverse conducting IGBT family optimized for full rated hard switching turn off typically found in Welding inverter applications. These IGBT offer good performance at attractive price. 

 

NEW! 650V TRENCHSTOP™ 5 S5 family is the new IGBT family addressing applications switching between 10kHz and 40kHz to deliver high efficiency, faster time to market cycles, circuit design complexity reduction and PCB bill of material cost optimization. This technology is the link between L5 and H5.

To further enhance the best in class performance of the TRENCHSTOP™ 5 IGBT technology, Infineon offers the technology in a high power package with an extra Kelvin emitter pin. The TO-247 4pin provides ultra-low inductance to the gate-emitter control loop and brings TRENCHSTOP™ 5 IGBT to the next level of best in class switching performance.
