RC-Drives IGBT technology has been developed by Infineon as a cost optimized solution for sensitive consumer drives market. This basic technology provides outstanding performance for permanent magnet synchronous and brushless DC motor drives.


Reverse Conducting Drives Fast – high efficiency for comfortable quietness

A new version of the RC-Drives Fast IGBT was developed specifically for low power motor drive consumer market: the IGBT and diode losses are optimized to reduce the inverter losses at switching frequencies of 18~30kHz. RC-Drives Fast enables high efficiency designs for inverters above 16kHz to reduce the audible noise to absolutely silent level. The small size of the components allows high power density designs with less system costs.
