Infineon technologies addresses the extreme fragmented M2M market with applications ranging from automotive to metering. This implies extreme environmental conditions, such as high temperature or vibration, as well as very frequent memory usage associated with the continuous monitoring in some applications. In this emerging application, there are not only technical but also business related challenges.

Our dedicated SLM 76 platform offers:

• A complete product portfolio exclusively dedicated for M2M addressing the needs of a large number of sub-markets
• First qualified product for -40 to +105°C
• Very robust cell concept leading to up to 500k cycles (with optimized programmed code up to16 million cycles)
• Resistance for hard environmental conditions such as vibration or humidity achieving over 10 years of lifetime
  and typically 10 years data retention at 85°C
• Not only a hardware solution, but also including optimized package solutions, e.g. tiny standard surface mount module VQFN with 8 pin
