DECT + VoIP / CAT-iq™
Infineon DECT/ CAT-iq™ VoIP Gateway solution is an innovative system approach: the COSIC™-Modem combined with Infineon’s Home Gateway SoCs. In addition to the highly integrated hardware, the creative DECT/ CAT-iq™ and Gateway system partitioning forms a centrally managed system software with much less build of material.

About CAT-iq™
The CAT-iq™ technology standard was launched worldwide by the DECT Forum at the ITU Telecom World 2006 in December 2006. This new technology has been designed with the consumers and operators needs in mind.
The CAT-iq™ technology is based on the mature and worldwide available DECT technology and adopts the advantages of DECT combining them with the new CAT-iq™ solutions. The CAT-iq technology will be introduced in waves in four profiles. These new features support in the first wave wideband voice (HD voice) on basis G.722 and the convergence of voice and data in gateway solutions with VoIP functionality. The following waves will support products with new wireless music and audio applications, cool internet applications, still easier plug& play and advanced power control.
The DECT forum offers for all profiles an official CAT-iq™ certification program to ensure full interoperability of all CAT-iq™ products.
