Electrification in Commercial, Agriculture and Construction Vehicles (CAV) becomes a necessity due to regulations regarding CO2 emissions. Infineon offers a complete portfolio of modules dedicated for these applications. These power modules are designed to meet the most stringent requirements for lifetime and reliability. Vibration loads and extreme temperature cycling conditions are handled using advanced bond wire and base plate technologies. All these CAV modules are manufactured to the highest quality on automated production lines and allow 150°C operating junction temperature.
EconoDUAL™ and EconoPACK™4 are two product families of compact medium power modules. They are suitable for auxiliary drives, generator and traction inverters in the power range of 20 kW – 200 kW. Higher powers can be achieved by operating these devices in parallel configuration. The package features a height of 17mm and poses a good match for compact and low profile designs. These modules are available with 600 V, 1200 V and 1700 V silicon enabling a common mechanical design suitable for operation at different DC bus voltages.
PrimePACK™ is the latest member within the high power modules. With ultrasonic welding, PrimePACK™ incorporates the latest development in interconnection technology. High vibrations withstand capability, simplified layout for power terminals and improved thermal performance are built-in features. PrimePACK™ is predestined for generator and traction drives in the range of 100 kW – 600 kW. These modules are available with either 1200V or 1700V silicon. Half-bridges and chopper configurations for operating switched reluctance machines are available.
IHM/ IHV are high power modules in a well established and proven package for traction applications and have been updated with the IHM-B package featuring ultrasonic welding and improved thermal and mechanical performance. Available in packages up to 3600 A and 3.3/6.5 kV, these modules are suitable for the highest powers in traction drives.
Hybridpack™ 1 is a power module designed for Mild Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV) applications in a power range up to 20 KW. Designed for a junction operation temperature of 150°C, the module accommodates a Six-Pack configuration of 3rd generation Trench-Field-Stop IGBT and matching emitter controlled diodes. It is rated up to 400A/600V.
Hybridpack™ 2 power modules are developed for Full Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (HEV) applications in a power range up to 80 KW. Designed for a junction operation temperature of 150°C, these modules accommodates a Six-Pack configuration of 3rd generation Trench-Field-Stop IGBT and matching emitter controlled diodes. They are rated up to 800A/600V.
