Infineon and many transport players have teamed to launch the Open Standard for Public Transport (OSPT) Alliance.
Smart card manufacturers and chip suppliers have teamed to launch the Open Standard for Public
Transportation (OSPT) Alliance with system integrators and transport operators joining. The ecosystem
will offer transport operators the opportunity to choose from a number of vendors, consultants
and integrators to help them deploy or upgrade to a more secure and cost-effective transport fare
collection system. This brings together a greater assortment of vendors offering more product
choices and richer capabilities built on an open standard than available with proprietary systems.
