Infineon offers a portfolio of 8, 16 and 32-bit industrial and automotive microcontrollers. The XMC microcontroller portfolio features a wide range of products from low-end, low-pin-count devices up to advanced solutions for industrial applications that demand energy-efficiency, high quality standards, long product life times and high temperature robustness. Common peripherals and development tools across the family ensure a high level of scalability and compatibility between all family members. DAVE™, Infineon’s unique and revolutionary framework for all XMC products, accelerates and simplifies development efforts.
The microcontroller on-board peripherals such as ADCs and PWMs create a highly integrated solution to meet all application requirements with motors. Find the right microcontroller for your application with our new Microcontroller solution finder.
Infineon offers power management solutions from standard ICs to high-performance, power MOSFETs, AC/DC power supply controllers (PFC, PWM), DC/DC and linear voltage regulators (LDO) and AC-Switches, helping you to complete your design.
The power stage consists of electronic switching devices such as MOSFETs, Bipolar Transistors and Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT). They are responsible for a well regulated, smooth and highly efficient energy transfer to the motor. Infineon offers a broad range of automotive and industrial qualified power MOSFETs including the N-channel/P-channel OptiMOS™ (20V – 250V) and CoolMOS™ (500V – 900V) families, silicon carbide based JFET (1200V) technology as well as a full portfolio of discrete IGBTs, power modules and stacks.
Traditional interfaces such as RS-232/RS-485 remain popular choices for motor control applications. Looking forward, designers are integrating a broad range of interfaces such as SPI, I 2C, USB, Ethernet into their products. Infineon provides solutions for both traditional industrial interfaces (CAN, LIN) and automotive LIN, CAN and Flexray™ solutions.
