Sustainability
Infineon as a company operates on the basic idea of corporate sustainability, which can be graduated into an environmental, a social and into an economic dimension. Having focused on our three system solutions, we do not only adapt on external trends, but we directly face our future challenges to human society.
Environment
Taking into account the environmental dimension of sustainability, we develop and manufacture products which help to preserve our environment.
Our products are enablers for energy efficient products and applications. They are subject to a unique life-cycle analysis approach for the optimization of the ecological footprint and they are drivers of green product development.
Moreover having implemented our IMPRES Program (Infineon Integrated Management Program for Environment and Health) we aim to create synergy between responsibility for society & environment and economic success.
The EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications also show: Responsible acting accompanies our products and is part of our supply chain management. We voluntarily commit to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and we use resources efficiently.
For Infineon, acting in a way which is and will be labelled „sustainable” by our stakeholders is more than just the fulfillment of legal requirements.
Society
We are convinced: Everybody needs a “fair” society with functioning institutions and engaged citizens constituting the fundament of a just society in which we – and future generations - can live in freedom, safety and dignity equipped with the same chances.
Therefore we believe in the necessity to engage for human society. Not only because operating in society, but just because being part of it - as a company, as employees and finally as citizens.
Infineon guarantees a Culture of
Equal Opportunities for all our employees. We subscribed the
Diversity Charta, we do provide a Learning Community and we actively seize our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
By the way: providing a Corporate
Health Management System for our employees goes without saying.
Company
As a company our main task is to guarantee strong financial results including a 15% overall profit margin to allow for entrepreneurial freedom, both in times of growth and challenge. This presetting does not only define the range of Infineon’s engagement in the first two dimensions, but displays also the condition for the economic dimension of sustainability.
Our sustainability concept is also integrated in Infineon through our Business Conduct Guidelines.
Being economically sustainable in this sense represents the third dimension of our basic idea of corporate sustainability.
The unconditional and definite implementation of our self-set standards constitutes an essential part of our corporate integrity and is seen as a matter of course by all of us.
