School Initiatives
Challenging tasks require clever minds!
Therefore, Infineon supports the development of students at all levels. The following is a list of selected Infineon-promoted initiatives and events.
Girls’ Day (Europe)
The Girls’ Day, which is an Europe-wide event, takes place once a year and is especially focused on girls in order to spark their interest in technical careers. Again this year Infineon opens its doors and offers schoolgirls the chance to get an insight into physical sciences and engineering.
“Fit für die Bewerbung” (Germany)
„Fit für die Bewerbung“ was initiated in 2005 by the Goinger Kreis and in cooperation with the “Initiative für Beschäftigung” , and takes place once a year all over Germany. Its main goal is to support scholars of secondary schools by offering them a professional orientation in their final year. Experienced personnel consultants assist the participants with their expertise, helping the students prepare for business interviews via practice interview situations, and giving professional hints for the job search. Many well-known companies such as Deutsche Bahn, TUI, Deutsche Bank, CSC Ploenzke, OTTO Group and IKEA take part in this project.
Invent a Chip (Germany)
Challenging projects require clever minds! “ Invent a Chip” was initiated by the VDE and BMBF . Infineon initiated the program and supports it as a partner, and motivates youngsters to be creative by designing a microchip.
