Corporate Social Responsibility
At Infineon, sustainability is not an empty phrase, but a corporate responsibility and integral part of our social accountability.
As a global company and a participant of the UN Global Compact initiative we voluntarily take responsibility towards the international community. We take social responsibility and environmental protection very seriously and both are part of our overall corporate strategy. We have defined our structures, processes and guidelines on the UN Global Compact principles, which are for instance based on undertaking initiatives to promote environmental responsibility or the development of environmentally friendly technology.
Infineon is included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Furthermore, in 2011 Infineon entered the „Sustainability Yearbook 2011"; the Yearbook lists the world’s top-15% in terms of corporate sustainability out of 2,500 participating companies.
