Infineon Receives "Supplier Performance Award" From Continental

Neubiberg, Germany – April 28, 2008 – Infineon Technologies AG (FSE/NYSE: IFX) today announced that Continental AG has awarded Infineon the ”Supplier Performance Award“ for its extraordinary quality and logistics performance. From a total of 5,000 companies, Continental named three suppliers of the year in the categories “Mechanics”, “Electro-mechanics” and “Electronics”. Infineon received the award in the “Electronics” category. With the acquisition of Siemens VDO Automotive AG, Continental is the world’s fifth largest automotive system supplier. This is the eighth year Continental has presented this award.

“Infineon is one of our key suppliers and partners in the automotive semiconductor market within our semiconductor supplier portfolio,” said Guenter Fella, Senior Vice President, Purchasing, at Continental Automotive. “Infineon was able to convince us of their quality and logistics performance.” According to Fella, Infineon also showed significant performance improvements in its 2007 cooperation in the excellence program with Continental.
