Infineon Strengthens Communications Team

Munich, Germany - August 31, 2005 - On September 1, Markus Berner (41) will assume responsibility for the new Communications Region Europe and Issues Management at Infineon Technologies, the largest European semiconductor company. Markus Berner’s previous post was as Press Relations Officer at national and international level for SAP AG. From 1994 to 2005 Markus Berner held various positions at the Walldorf software company with responsibility for internal communications, public relations and sponsoring. After graduating in History and Theology at Heidelberg and Bonn, he began his career in 1990 as a PR trainee at ABB Germany, before acting as Editor for the company’s employee magazine in Mannheim.

Jörg Malzon-Jessen (45) is now working from Munich following a transitory period in a double role. On July 1, he took on the management of Internal Communications at Infineon. The communications professional of many years’ standing was previously responsible for Corporate Communications at Eupec, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Infineon. In the transitory period Jörg Malzon-Jessen performed both functions. Before joining Eupec in 2001, Jörg Malzon-Jessen was Director of Europortal Internet AG, the Internet service provider in Duesseldorf. Before building up and managing the radio station oldie.fm as its Managing Director in 1996, Jörg Malzon-Jessen was for several years Editor-in-Chief and Program Director at Radioropa Info, Germany’s first private news station.
